    All students who have been accepted for the 2014 fall semester should attend our Accepted Student Open House on April 5th, 2014 to discover why Hilbert College is the place for you! If you attend, you will meet faculty, staff, and students to learn more about the college that is considered the hidden jewel of western New York. Additionally, you can attend a student panel, take a tour, and meet with clubs and other student organizations to see how you will fit in with our campus life. We will also have campus professionals on hand to discuss financial aid, student services, and disability services.

    Description:

     

         On Saturday, April 5th at 10 AM, The Hafner Recreation Center at Hilbert College will hold a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament with proceeds to benefit the Western New York Heroes, which supports veterans locally. This event is being hosted by students: Barry Mason (Jamestown), Connor Kirst (Hamburg), Jordan Kumro (Cheetowaga), Nehemiah Kornegay (Jamaica, NY), Trevor Stark (Flushing), in the Sports Events Management course at Hilbert College.
    Teams will be comprised of a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 4 (for substitutions). This event is open to males and females aged 18 years and older, and divisions will be determined based on registrations. The deadline to register is April 1st. The cost is $15/individual or $60 per team. In addition, snacks and beverages will be available for purchase as well as a Chinese Auction and 50-50. The admission fee to spectate is a monetary donation of the spectator’s choosing.  All proceeds will benefit veterans in our community. Each team will receive shirts on the day of the event.     It's like Minute to Win It and Jeopardy all rolled into one.  Students compete by answering pop culture trivia questions and attempting to complete wacky physical challenges to win cash prizes.  At certain times there are contests to see who will get to compete in the game.  Once in the game, students can choose if they would like a trivia question or a physical challenge.  There is also a chance throughout the game for other students to possibly win bonus cash prizes.  There is a guaranteed $150 in cash prizes awarded at the end of the game and possibly more.

    Description:

    Hilbert College’s Persuasive Campaigns Class is putting on a completely student run fundraising event called “The Dog Walk.” This family- and dog-friendly fundraising event will benefit the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter.  There will be booths with vendors, craft tables, interactive activities, a blessing of the animals, and food available for purchase.  There will also be a water/treat station and dogs available for adoption from multiple rescues.  People will be invited to bring their on-leash dogs, weather permitting.  Visitors will walk around campus (7/10 of a mile) and visit all of the various booths.  This event is being held right on campus.
