What is an Internship?
An internship is a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on work experience in a professional environment. It allows you take what you've learned in the classroom and apply it to a real-work setting. All types of organizations offer internships, from private businesses to nonprofit organizations to law enforcement agencies.
Internships take place either during the fall or spring semester and you usually receive academic credit for your efforts. This is your chance to make contributions to an organization and to demonstrate your potential value as a full-time employee after graduation.
