Students can maximize their performance by supporting classroom instruction with one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions. Our tutoring services enable students, in a supportive learning environment, to develop the skills and techniques necessary to be successful learners. The role of a tutor is to teach students how to maximize, expand and improve their academic skills so they become active participants in the learning process. A major plus with Hilbert's tutoring program is that both faculty and peer tutoring are available on a drop-in basis. Tutoring sessions are also available in the residence halls.

User-friendly tutorials on computers are available in various areas, including:
- Graduate Record Examinations (GRE), GMAT and LSAT preparation
- Math

How to Become a Tutor
If you are interested in becoming a tutor and helping us fill our tutoring needs, then we have a job for you. You must be currently enrolled at Hilbert, have received an "A" in the course of study you are interested in tutoring and be recommended by that department. Stop by the Academic Services Center in 105 Bogel Hall, or call 649-7900, ext. 324 for more information, or e-mail msojda@hilbert.edu or ddimitrovski@hilbert.edu about your interest in tutoring.
