Job Summary: The Associate Director of Admissions is primarily responsible for helping to manage the office functions related to staff management, daily operations, and recruitment. The Associate Director is responsible for the daily office operation in the absence of the Director. He/She will work closely with the Director of Admissions in assessing and evaluating recruitment plans, strategies, office management, marketing, communication, and policy development. The Associate Director will effectively manage a recruitment territory/cohort. He/She will also supervise the Admissions office support staff and admissions counselors; oversee the processing and review of all applications for undergraduate admissions decisions; complete actions to achieve new student enrollment goals for assigned territory/cohort and support the achievement of overall new student enrollment goals; maintain and develop additional relationships with local feeder community colleges, including the overseeing and updating of articulation agreements; document and update transfer credit policies and procedures; represent the college at various college and employer fairs across the Northeast; manage the travel of all admissions recruiters; interact with prospective students by phone, e-mail, CRM, and in person; continually evaluate recruitment and operational initiatives; and review undergraduate applications for admissions.
Requirements/Qualifications: Flexibility for travel as necessary; ability to communicate effectively with groups; ability to manage and supervise others; ability to work as part of a team; attention to detail; initiative and resourcefulness; sound judgment, tact, courtesy, and dependability; ability to work with minimal supervision; strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with all campus services, policies, regulations. Master’s degree required; minimum 3 - 5 years of admissions or related experience; valid driver’s license.
