Final AMCC Championship Results
MIDDLESEX, OH – Hilbert College dropped 16 strokes off their score on day two of the AMCC Golf Championships, but that wasn’t enough to move out of 9th place in the two-day tourney. Ryan Ratajczak shot a team low 81 on day two to lead the Hawks, who totaled 710 points over the course of the tournament. Penn State Behrend, led by Dante Vetica, shot a 616 to claim the conference’s automatic bid to the 2013 spring NCAA championships.
Ratajczak totaled 170 on the par 71 course just ahead of Ryan Tofil’s 175 (90/85). Also representing the Hawks were Karl Blomback, who fired a 182 (90/92) one point lower than Gary Gawera (94/89). Jake Reinecke also competed but his scores did not count towards the team’s total.
Vetica medaled the course with 146 (72/74) beating last year’s New Comer and Player of the Year, La Roche’s Kevin Loutsenhizer by six strokes (78/74).
Hilbert produced better numbers over the course of the season after they dropped 228 strokes off last year’s point total. The Hawks 710 was 61 strokes better than one year ago at the same AMCC Championships match.
