HAMBURG, NY – For the seventh time this season, the women’s volleyball team had a team attack percentage of .200 or higher as they took a three-set victory over Wilkes University October 20 to improve to 15-9 overall. The Hawks finished with 41 kills and six solo blocks taking a 25-18, 25-23, 25-22 non-conference win.
Five Hawks were credited with five or more digs led by Jordan Botsford’s eight. Chelsea Reischuck led with 11 kills and three solo blocks followed by Botsford who finished with nine (two service aces). Allegra Johnson chipped in eight kills and six digs while Shannon Memminger had 28 assists. Rachel Kwiatkowski delivered five kills and assisted in two blocks in her last non-conference match of her career.
Hilbert travels to Bradford (3-4 AMCC, 8-20 overall) October 24th before they finish their regular season at Franciscan October 27 (4-2, 11-13). Currently the Hawks sit one win ahead of Bradford and one win behind Franciscan. They are fighting for a third or fourth place finish so that they can host a first-round play-off game October 30.
