The Hilbert College men’s basketball team is looking to help the Buffalo City Mission put warm meals on the tables of those less fortunate during this holiday season. Hawks Against Hunger is the team’s community service project taking place November 15th- 17th at the Hafner Recreation Center during the annual Hilbert College Tip-Off Classic.
Fans attending Thursday night’s home opener against Fredonia State at 8pm will have the opportunity to donate $1.98 to ensure a meal is provided for someone at the City Mission’s 100 E. Tupper Street location. Donations in other amounts will be accepted as well.
The Hawks Against Hunger effort will continue Friday night during St. John Fisher College’s 7pm contest with Fredonia state, and will close after Hilbert squares off against St. John Fisher at 1pm on Saturday. Collections will be accepted upon purchasing game-day tickets prior to each of the three games being played during the Classic.
If you are not able to attend the Tip-Off Classic but would still like to make a donation, please follow this link to the Buffalo City Mission's Donate Now page.
