HAMBURG, NY - Hilbert College senior Anthony Hodge (Brooklyn, NY) was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference’s men’s basketball Player of the Week November 26.
Hodge scored a season-high 18 points, shooting five for ten from the floor and seven for eight from the foul line as the Hawks beat Cazenovia College 78-51. Then four days later, Hodge chipped in 15 points to lead Hilbert over Alfred University, 77-67, in another non-conference victory. The 5-8 guard came off the bench to grab four rebounds (2 offensive) and dished four assists in his 32 minutes of court-time.
Currently Hodge is 13th in the conference for point per game (13.7), is tied for 10th in assists per game (2.3), 13th in free throw percentage (.769) and 13th in steals (1.7).
Hilbert is 4-1 heading into AMCC play November 28 against D’Youville College (0-4) at the Hafner Recreation Center.
