HAMBURG, N.Y. – The spirit of the season will be celebrated with festive Christmas favorites at a special holiday pops concert performed by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra on Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Hilbert College’s William E. Swan Auditorium. The holiday concert will be conducted by Paul Ferington, and will feature soloists Karen D’Angelo, soprano, and Loren Silvertrust, violin.
As a way to say ‘Thank You,’ Hilbert College donated 50 tickets to the Town of Hamburg to be distributed to the town’s first responders and to those who worked tirelessly to clear the town’s roads following last week’s Lake Effect Snow Storm. Hilbert also donated tickets to students and staff at the school that made extraordinary efforts while snowed in on our campus last week.
“We want our community to know we deeply appreciate their servant leadership and it does not go unnoticed,” Hilbert president Cynthia Zane said.
The BPO Holiday Pops has become a popular tradition in celebrating the holiday season at Hilbert College, and this year’s concert is likely to be another sold out show. This year marks the BPO’s seventh annual performance at Hilbert’s Swan Auditorium.
A limited number of tickets are available for the public. Tickets are $35 for reserved seating. For more information on the concert please contact Stephanie King at 716-926-8938 or at stephanieking@hilbert.edu.
