- “Celebrate 60” theme to include various initiatives over the next year -
HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College, founded in 1957, will celebrate its 60th anniversary this academic year and throughout 2017. The “Celebrate 60” theme will be prevalent in many college-wide initiatives, as well as at a number of college events throughout the year.
Some of the college’s initiatives that will help our campus kickoff Celebrate 60 include a commemorative edition of the Hilbert College Magazine, a specific campaign for the Annual Fund, an inaugural Giving Day Campaign (to coincide with the 60th day of 2017 – March 1), and a call for the Hilbert community to submit memories and/or photos for a Celebrate 60 Scrapbook. The celebration will culminate with our Celebrate 60 True Blue Homecoming Weekend in 2017.
Hilbert invites alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the college to submit their stories and photos via our Celebrate 60 website at www.hilbert.edu/Celebrate60. Check back often as we will add memories and photos that are submitted to the scrapbook for all to see. A select number of submissions may be included in the commemorative edition of the Hilbert College Magazine.
In addition to the online Scrapbook and submission form, the website includes a Hilbert Timeline, giving you a chance to take a look back at some of the milestone moments in Hilbert’s history.
Important events and initiatives related to Celebrate 60 will be included on the website as they approach. Additionally, more information about Hilbert’s first-ever Giving Day will also be published as it becomes available.
Hilbert invites everyone in the college community, past and present, to help us celebrate 60 great years of Catholic, Franciscan heritage.
