HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College has launched a comprehensive brand campaign to establish and refresh the College’s presence in the WNY market. The Hamburg college introduced the “See Different…” brand earlier this month to increase brand awareness and provide a consistent look, feel, and message to the Hilbert brand. The new brand and branding video can be seen at www.hilbert.edu/seedifferent.
Hilbert conducted market research to help identify and develop the “See Different…” concept, which included internal surveys and a series of focus groups conducted with current students and prospective students. The theme of the new brand is rooted in showcasing what makes Hilbert different and promoting the idea that at Hilbert students will experience and see different passions, outcomes, values, perspectives, and more.
“We are excited to launch this new brand for Hilbert College,” said Kelly Smith, Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Hilbert. “We believe this message will not only resonate with prospective students, but will also be a vision that the entire Hilbert community – faculty, staff, alumni, and students – can embrace.”
“When we developed this new theme, it was important for us to communicate our value, highlight our strengths, and promote the things that set us apart,” said Matt Heidt, Hilbert’s Director of Marketing and Communications. “We were guided by Hilbert’s mission and vision statements, particularly the philosophy that Hilbert ‘embraces freedom of thought’ and ‘emphasizes a commitment to service.’ Hilbert’s values and welcoming community have always been two of our strongest attributes.”
The comprehensive campaign incorporates a new brand video, promotional advertising -- including TV, streaming, radio, social, and more – environmental branding, new collateral material, and an enhanced social strategy.
The theme and video was developed and produced in-house by the Office of Marketing and Communications at Hilbert College, using a freelance videographer, David Seifert – a Hilbert alum. The script was written by Heidt and the video was co-directed by Heidt and Ian Gattie, Hilbert’s Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications.
