Fall Sport Athletes to Return For Training Camp

Mens and women's soccer, women's volleyball start August 19

HAMBURG, NY - The Athletics Department at Hilbert College is looking forward to welcoming back the fall sport student-athletes on Thursday, August 19 for their NCAA designated first date of organized practice. Any interested student-athlete should speak with the correct coach prior to arriving on campus for the training camp move-in. (staff directory)
 
All athletes must complete NCAA and Hilbert College compliance paperwork prior to their participation in the first practice.  Each first-year athlete must have a physical on file which clears them for Division III athletics competition.  Returning student-athletes are required to have their vitals updated by the sports medicine staff or present a physical from a physician prior to their first practice.
 
All Hilbert College forms can be found by following this link. The NCAA forms and Hilbert’s Drug and Alcohol Policy page will be reviewed at each team’s compliance meeting with an athletic director on August 19th.
 
The men’s and women’s soccer teams kick off their season September 1 when they travel to Wells College for a simultaneous match beginning at 4 pm on two different fields. On September 3rd, the women’s volleyball team travels to D’Youville College to participate in the Spartan Invitational with their first match set for 4 pm against the host institution.
 
 All student-athletes not involved in men’s/women’s soccer or women’s volleyball must attend a Student-Athlete Orientation Meeting which will take place during the first week of classes.
