HAMBURG, N.Y. – Several Hilbert College students, faculty and staff will have their heads shaved for a Goin’ Bald for Bucks fundraiser taking place from 2-4 p.m. April 3 in Paczesny Hall’s West Herr Atrium.
Sponsored by the Hilbert Junior Leadership Scholarship group, participants are having their hair shaved or cut to help raise funds for cancer research and patient care programs at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Among those involved in the effort is psychology major Jonathan Hulbert of Frewsburg, president of the Hilbert Student Government Association, who is participating in honor of his father, a cancer patient.
To make a pledge or to join the Hilbert’s Goin’ Bald for Bucks team, visit www.goingbaldforbucks.com. Participants are welcome to take part in honor of a loved one and may select the option of having their hair cut to donate to Locks of Love.
