An FBI special agent for 25 years, Walsh served as environmental crimes coordinator where he investigated violations in that area. He previously was primary hostage negotiator for an FBI SWAT team. Much of his expertise involves environmental investigative techniques, evidence collection, laws and regulations for environmental crimes, and the difference between law enforcement and regulatory duties. In addition to the FBI, he’s received extensive training by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Environmental Conservation. Walsh has taught classes on environmental crimes to police academies throughout Western New York. He can also provide information on correctional issues, such as prisoner rights and probation concepts, and juvenile crime in the U.S.
