Hamburg, NY – The United Volleyball Conference (UVC) released its inaugural All-Conference team for the 2011 season and named to the Honorable Mention squad was Hilbert College's Adam Weaver (Stow, OH/Archbishop Hoban). The 6’4” Outside Hitter led the Hawks in kills (236), kills per set (3.87), hitting percentage (.280), points earned (266.5) and points per set (4.37) even though he missed 22 sets during the middle portion of the season due to an ankle injury. Of the six weeks Weaver dressed and competed, the freshman was named UCV Rookie of the Week three times. He was one of only four freshmen named to the 26-man All-Conference teams.

The UVC inaugural season launched with 10 members in the first competitive campaign: Bard College, D’Youville College, Elmira College, Hilbert College, Medaille College, Nazareth College, Stevens Institute of Technology, SUNY IT, SUNY New Paltz and Vassar College. New York University completed its final season with the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association in 2011 while Penn State Behrend prepares to elevate its club sport to varsity status in 2012.
The 12-member UVC is already recognized by the NCAA as an officially sanctioned single sport conference, an important advantage as the Division III membership adopted men’s volleyball as an NCAA Division III Championship sport with an NCAA Tournament effective 2011-2012 academic year.
