ERIE, PA – The Penn State Behrend golf team edged out Penn State Altoona 300- 301 to place first in their own invitational Thursday at Peek’n Peak Golf Course. Rick Davis shot a 67 to lead the Behrend Lions who beat out 13 other teams on the day.

Junior transfer Kyle Hiscock (Rochester, NY/Eastridge) shot a 72 and tied for third overall to lead Hilbert College to an 11th place finish. Hawks senior Glen Ufland (Buffalo, NY/Bishop Timon) chipped in with a 79 and freshman Brian Rathke (Buffalo, NY/Bishop Timon) recorded an 86.

“Kyle’s performance represents the highest showing ever for a Hilbert golfer at this event,” said Hawks coach Richard Walsh. “Glen Ufland continues to play well and freshman Brian Rathke has been a pleasant surprise.”

The Hawks will hit the road again Monday, September 25th when they travel to Valley Country Club in Pennsylvania for the Penn State Altoona Invitational. Tee time is scheduled for 12:30 pm.
