SUNY Delhi takes Oswego invitational

OSWEGO, NY – Playing their third match in five days, the Hilbert College golf team placed 11th at the Oswego State Invitational on Monday. Junior college power SUNY Delhi took home the crown with a score of 306 at Oswego Country Club’s par-71 course. Host Oswego State edged out Division II Le Moyne College 313-315 for second place on the day.

The top round went to Le Moyne’s Brandon Cristello who turned in a 74 over the 6,410 yard course. Hilbert’s Brian Rathke (Buffalo, NY/Bishop Timon) shot a team best 86 to tie for 46th place overall in a field that saw 75 players compete. The Hawks’ 357 placed them ahead of Cazenovia College (360), SUNY ESF (378), Keuka College (381), and SUNYIT (384).

The Hawks will regroup for conference opponents at Thursday’s Penn State Behrend Invitational. Start time at Peek’n Peak Golf Course in Findley Lake, NY is scheduled for 12:00 pm.
