Hawks Place 7th at AMCC Championship

The Hilbert College golf team participated at the AMCC Championship on Oct. 4-5. The tournament was held at Tom's Run Golf Course, in Blairsville, PA.
The Hawk's finished 7th out of 8 AMCC schools. The tournament was won by Penn State Aloona for the third consecutive year.
For Hilbert, junior Brian Rathke (Buffalo, NY/Timon) led the way with a two-day stroke total of 161. Rathke fired a 79 in round one, and an 82 in the second round. Junior Joe Roberts (Adams, NY/South Jefferson) posted a two-day score of 172, with rounds of 81 and 91.
Freshman Garrett Gelia (East Amherst, NY/Cardinal O'Hara) recorded rounds of 89 and 91 for a total score of 180. Junior Ian Frost (Pine Valley, NY/Cherry Creek) and junior Justin Tworek (Dunkirk, NY/Dunkirk) posted two-day scores of 190 and 212 respectively.
The AMCC Championship was the final tournament of the season for the Hawks.
