HAMBURG, NY- Hilbert College lost their first home volleyball match of the season to the D’Youville College 0-3 (16-30, 13-20, 15-30) Wednesday at the Hafner Recreation Center. The loss drops the Hawks to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association (NECVA).

Hilbert was led by the strong play of seniors Robert Gerhard (Angola, NY/Lake Shore) and Kevin Murphy (Buffalo, NY/Bishop Timon). Gerhard registered six kills and 19 digs in the contest while Murphy dished out 12 assists. Dan Wolfe (Rochester, NY/Irondequoit) brought a strong defensive game with 18 digs on the night.

The Hawks look for their first victory of the season when they travel to Lancaster Bible College to play a tri-match with Ramapo College on Saturday February 16th.
