Hamburg, NY – Pitt-Greenburg’s Casey Stanton already reached a double-double by half time but didn’t let that stop her from competing the next nineteen minutes. She finished with 22 points, 24 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals and 7 blocked shots in her team’s 68-31 road win against Hilbert College’s women’s basketball team January 29th. Greensburg’s 35-12 half time lead was in part due to Hilbert’s 14% field goal percentage which improved slightly in the second half. The Hawks drop to 0-12 in AMCC play and 1-17 overall while the Bobcats improve to 5-8 and 5-15 overall.

Hilbert kept it to a nine-point game during the first 11-minutes of play until Greensburg went on a 19-5 run to end the half. After intermission, Greensburg continued to build their lead off their 15 steals for the day. Sophomore Amber Grosch (Depew, NY/Depew) {in photo to right} shot 5 for 13 from the floor en route to her team-leading 13 points and 9 rebounds.

Hilbert hosts cross-town rival Medaille College February 2 with a 6pm tip. The Hilbert College community will attempt to White Out the Hafner that night. All Hawks’ fans should wear a white shirt showing support for their home team.
