HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Hilbert College men’s and women’s cross country teams scored a pair of narrow victories over visiting Pitt-Bradford University yesterday in NCAA Division III cross country action.
Hilbert sophomore Chris Frunzi (St. Francis/Hamburg, NY) finished second behind Pitt-Bradford’s Pat Legler who’s winning time of 33:41 won the men’s 4.5-mile race. The Hawks came out on top 24-33 to score their second straight victory over the Panthers.
Alicia Mitchell (Traditional/Buffalo, NY) paced the Lady Hawks with a third place finish in 28:03 over the 3.1-mile women’s course. The Panthers Jen Projdence was the top finisher of the afternoon winning in 25:42. Hilbert picked up the 28-29 win with top runner Katy Dorsheimer (Frontier/Hamburg, NY) resting for this weekend’s meet at the University at Buffalo.
