Women’s XC Competes at Geneseo State Invit.

MT. MORRIS, NY – Hilbert College junior Susan Devlin (Hamburg, NY/Frontier) covered the women’s 5K course at Letchworth State Park in 24:05 Saturday to place 144th at the Geneseo State Invitational on Saturday. Devlin’s finish was out of 172 runners as the Hawks placed 16th in the 16-team event.
Host Geneseo State owned spots four through 11 and won the team competition with 25 points on the day. Megan Brown, running independently as an alum from the University of Toronto, was the overall winner with a time of 16:40. The next closest finisher was Potsdam State’s Jodie Schoppmann in 17:08.
The Hilbert College women’s cross country team returns to action next Friday, October 7th as the Hawks travel to the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Start time is scheduled for 4:00 pm.
