Zinni Blanks Wells in Hawks Win

The Hilbert College women’s soccer team defeated Wells College 1-0 on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Hawks snap a four game losing streak and improve their record to 4-9 on the season.

Notching the goal for the Hawks was senior Tricia Knight (Sardinia, NY/Pioneer). The goal was Knight’s fifth tally of the season. Freshman Alyssa Hulbert (Tonawanda, NY/Kenmore East) assisted on the game winning goal, giving her six helpers on the year.

Freshman Mary Zinni (Batavia, NY/Batavia) recorded her second shutout of the season.

The Hawks return to action Oct. 18 at Mount Aloysius College.
