Hilbert Downs Baptist Bible For First Win

The Hilbert College softball team defeated Baptist Bible College 10-1 in five innings, on Monday (March 16, 2009). The win improves the Hawk's record to 1-2 on the young season.
Junior Carrie Sisson (Elma, NY/Mt. Mercy) earned the win for Hilbert, pitching all five innings allowing just one hit and striking out five. Sisson was also 3-4 at the plate with three RBIs and two doubles.
Junior Sarah Collins (Milroy, PA/Indian Valley) had three hits, including three doubles and drove in two runs.
Hilbert College, located in suburban Hamburg, N.Y., south of Buffalo, is a private four-year college founded in 1957 in the Catholic Franciscan tradition.
