HAMBURG, NY – The Hilbert College Athletics Department is pleased to announce the overall academic success of its student-athletes during the 2009-2010 year. One hundred and twenty-seven student-athletes wore blue and white uniforms representing the Hawks this year and their combined efforts in the classroom produced an overall cumulative grade point average of 2.99. 

As well, seventy-six student-athletes achieved a cumulative gpa of 3.0 or higher at the conclusion of the spring semester.
For the second time since Hilbert joined the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference, one of Hilbert’s student-athletes was chosen as the top female academic performer within the eleven member conference. Senior Maggie Fage led the list of top scholar athletes after earning a cumulative 3.92 grade point average in the human services degree program.
At the completion of the fall ’09 semester, the AMCC honored student-athletes who maintained a 3.2 cumulative gpa. Hilbert produced fifty-six student-athletes which was the largest number of Academic All-Conference members since joining the AMCC six years ago.
The female sports team earning the highest cumulative gpa was soccer (3.42) followed in descending order by softball (3.25), basketball (3.20), volleyball (3.19) , and cross country (3.19); the male sports team earning the highest cumulative gpa was baseball (3.14) followed by soccer (2.96), volleyball (2.93), golf (2.84), and basketball (2.74).
