 Morrisville Box                  Keuka Box

BUFFALO, NY - Freshman middle Allegra Johnson was credited with 10 kills and six digs while junior Shannon Memminger passed for 22 set-assists en route to Hilbert’s 3-0 victory over Morrisville in the NEAC vs. AMCC Challenge September 1. Keuka grabbed a 3-1 victory over the Hawks in the night-cap knocking Hilbert down a notch to 1-1 as they start their 2012 season.

The Hawks (AMCC) took each set quickly (25-13, 25-16, 25-13) against Morrisville (NEAC) giving Hilbert their first win of the season. Sophomore Jordan Botsford finished with one block and six digs in addition to Memminger’s six service aces.

Keuka split the first two sets with Hilbert (25-19, 20-25) before they finished the match off (25-18, 25-20) to take a 3-1 win. Botsford led with 14 digs while Johnson finished with 7 kills and Memminger assisted 18 times.  Coach Logue indicated that the Storm played great defense which prevented Hilbert from winning the match. on a positive note, the Hawks have scored more points in their first two matches this season than they have in previous years.

Hilbert hosts Geneseo in their home opener Wednesday, September 5 at 7pm.
