Jill Cole, Assistant Dean of Students & Director of Residence Life
In July of 2016, Cole joined the Hilbert College community as the Director of Residence Life and Community Standards. As of September of 2020, Splawski was promoted to the Assistant Dean of Students. Cole currently oversees housing operations, community standards and supervision of all residence life staff members. Cole is also the co-chair of the Campus' Behavioral Intervention Team and Chairperson of Staff Senate, where she sits as a member of the Presidents Council. Prior to coming to Hilbert, Cole has served in various roles in the Office of Residence Life at Daemen College, including the Resident Coordinator, Assistant Director, Interim Director and Associate Director for Residential Education. Cole was also a consultant for Campus Labs, where she maintained a portfolio of 50 small colleges and universities providing education, training, and support on student affairs assessment, student engagement and the implementation of campus climate surveys.
Cole is deeply involved in the College Student Personnel Administrators of NYS (CSPA-NYS) as a member of the annual conference planning team, Chair of the New York State Leadership Educators Conference in 2019 is the VP for Professional Development until July of 2021. Cole is also the chair of the Western New York Private Housing Officers Consortium. Cole is an avid Buffalo Bill's fan and has a cat named Billy.
Cole holds a Bachelors in Business Economics, concentrated in Environmental Management with a minor in Geology from SUNY Cortland and her masters in Higher Education Administration and Adult Learning from Post University.
