MEET THE CAMPUS INVOLVEMENT TEAM 

Alex Gill

Alex Gill, He/ Him, Interim Director of Student Involvement

Gill joined the Campus Involvement Professional Staff in December of 2019. As an undergraduate student at Hilbert College, Gill had experience in Residence Life as a Resident Assistant (2019) and Residential Safety Associate (2016-2018). He was also deeply involved in the Club Hockey Team and led strong programmatic efforts including the first Hyperglow at Hilbert along with Hilbert raids Area 51.

Professionally, Gill served as the Resident Coordinator from December of 2019- May of 2021. In this role, Gill was responsible for the day to day operations of St. Joseph's Hall and the Campus Apartments. In addition, he oversaw large scale programs on campus, the department's office assistants, and served as the direct supervisor to the residential mail room.

As the Coordinator for Student Involvement, Gill was the go-to professional for clubs, organizations and campus programming. He also advised to CAB (campus activities board) and is the leadership behind traditions like Welcome Week, Fall Fest and BERT Fest. While supporting the engagment side of student life, Gill also serves in the on-call rotation for crisis management. In January of 2022, Gill was promoted to Interim Director of Student Involvement and took a stronger leadership role in campus events. 
 
Gill enjoys playing hockey, concerts, the Buffalo Bills and Sabres. Gill received his Bachelors of Science, in Criminal Justice in May of 2019 and Masters in Criminal Justice Administration from Hilbert College in May 2021.

Grace Adams

Grace Adams, She/ Hers, Interim Director of Residence Life & Community Standards

In July of 2021, Adams returned to Hilbert College and joined Campus Involvement in the Coordinator for Residence Life role. In that role, Adams was primarily responsible for the oversight of community development efforts for residential students. Responsibilities including programmatic initiatives, assessment of residential housing needs and revitalization projects, housing selection and operations while serving in the professional-on-call crisis management rotation.

In January of 2022, Adams was promoted to Interim Director of Residence LIfe & Community Standards overseeing all residential operations and student conduct proceedings.

Adams is an alumna of Hilbert College, Class of 2017 and was highly involved during her time as a student. She was on the women’s soccer team, participated in the leadership scholarship program, attended service trips, served as a Resident Assistant, peer leader and head peer leader, orientation leader, and interned with both Residence Life and Student Life offices.

Since graduating in 2017, Adams has held roles at different institutions broadening her higher education experiences. Adams spent summer of 2017 as an ACUHO-I intern at San Francisco State University as a Conferences and Events Services Coordinator. During graduate school from August 2017 to May 2019, Adams served as an LHE Intern in Adult Transfer & Military Services Office, Student Records Office, and the Honors Program. After completing her masters degree, Adams worked at Elmira College in Elmira, NY as the Area Coordinator for Residence Life. Adams then transitioned to Springfield College in Springfield, MA as a Community Director in Housing and Residence Life.

Adams holds a Bachelors in Human Services with a minor in Leadership from Hilbert College, and a Masters of Arts in Education concentrated in Leadership in Higher Education from Baldwin Wallace University. Adams is a proud auntie and has a cat named Aspen. In her free time she serves as secretary for a non-profit, WAHI Studio, and enjoys time with her family.

Jhada Hutchinson

Jhada Hutchinson, She/ Hers, Graduate Coordinator for Campus Involvement  

Jhada Hutchinson joined Campus Involvement Professional Staff August 2021. Hutchinson graduated from SUNY Buffalo State in May 2021 with Bachelors degree in Psychology with a minor in Creative Studies. During Hutchinson’s undergrad she was heavily involved on campus. She was a Resident Assistant, Peer Mentor, Orientation Leader, Campus Ambassador and served on the social justice leadership board for equity and inclusion. While in this role Hutchinson will be furthering her education at Buffalo State pursuing her Masters Degree in Higher Education And Student Affairs Administration. Hutchinson is from Queens, New York City.

As a Graduate Assistant, Hutchinson will be overseeing the campus apartments and St. Joseph’s. Hutchinson will be working closely with the Resident Assistants in the campus apartment as well as In St.Joes as well. Hutchinson also will be involved with campus activities, events, clubs/organizations and over seeing SGA!

Hutchinson enjoys anything pink. In her free time she likes to watch some of her favorite shows like 90 day fiancé! Hutchinson’s long term goals are to be the dean of students for an institution and be an activist.
