Veteran and Military Tuition Rate Policy

Eligible veterans, enlisted service members, and reservists enrolled in traditional on-ground undergraduate programs will receive Hilbert College’s designated veteran and military tuition rate. This rate applies to tuition charges and is intended to align eligible students’ costs with available military education benefits, when applicable. The policy is designed both to eliminate out-of-pocket tuition gaps for eligible students whose tuition charges exceed the annual Post-9/11 GI Bill® tuition-and-fee cap and to provide tuition relief for other eligible military-affiliated students who may not qualify for Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits. The veteran and military tuition rate applies for up to two semesters per academic year. Enrollment in additional semesters, including summer terms, may cause total tuition charges to exceed the annual benefit limit. In such cases, students may utilize Yellow Ribbon benefits when eligible.

Eligibility and Documentation

To qualify, students must submit a DD214 or equivalent documentation verifying military status to the Admissions Office. The veteran and military tuition rate is available to veterans, enlisted active-duty service members, and reservists. At this time, the rate does not apply to spouses or dependents of eligible service members or veterans.

2026-2027 Rates

* For the 2026-2027 academic year, the Post-9/11 GI Bill® will pay up to $30,908.34 toward tuition and mandatory fees at private institutions of higher learning, subject to each student’s eligibility percentage. This benefit does not cover on-campus housing or other nonmandatory expenses incurred by the student.
