Baccalaureate Mass

  Time: 11 am
 Location: Swan Auditorium

 Accessibility

An American Sign Language Interpreter will be present for the ceremony. Accessibility seating will be available for guests or graduating students in wheelchairs or other accessible needs. A companion seat will also be made available if needed to assist the person with accessibility needs. Graduating Students

Graduating students attending Mass should arrive by 10:30 am and report to Paczesny Hall, Room 216. Students should wear their black commencement gown. They should not wear their hoods or caps to Mass. At the conclusion of Mass, graduating students will report to Bogel Hall with all their required regalia (gown, hood, and cap).

Guests & Support Systems

Invited guests may head directly to Swan Auditorium to be seated.

Graduating Students

At the conclusion of Mass, graduating students will report to Bogel Hall with all their required regalia (gown, hood, and cap).  They must arrive by 12:00 pm. Upon their arrival in Bogel Hall, graduating students will be directed to their respective robing/staging area.

Graduating students arriving after 12:00 PM may not participate in Commencement.

Invitations provided to graduating students will serve as tickets for admittance to the Commencement Ceremony in the Hafner Recreation Center.

Guests & Support Systems

Doors will open for invited guests at 12:15 pm for the Commencement Ceremony. To maximize the number of invited guests per graduate, the majority of guest seating will be bleacher seating in the Hafner Recreation Center. The guest seating area will be open/general seating, except for accessibility seating reserved in advance.

Invitations provided to graduating students will serve as tickets for admittance to the Commencement Ceremony in the Hafner Recreation Center. Each invited guest must provide a ticket in exchange for admission into the Commencement Ceremony.  Please note all children, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter.

If needed, seating for up to two additional guests of graduating students will be available in Swan Auditorium to view the live stream of the Commencement Ceremony.

Tickets will be collected by Hilbert staff members upon entry. At the conclusion of the ceremony, collected invitations will be available for graduates and guests to take as mementos. 

President's Reception

The President’s Reception for graduates, family, and friends, which will be held on campus, will immediately follow the Commencement Ceremony.

 

Location & Parking

Hilbert College is located approximately 10 miles south of Buffalo on South Park Avenue (NY Route 62) in Hamburg, N.Y. The most convenient way to reach South Park Avenue and the campus is via the New York State Thruway. 
 

Directions via NYS Thruway (I-90): 

  • Take exit 56 for Mile Strip Rd/RT-179 toward Blasdell
  • Turn left at Milestrip Rd/RT-179 W
  • Turn right onto Mckinley
  • Turn right on Route 20
  • Turn left at S Park Ave/US-62. Hilbert will be on your left.

At Hilbert, our parking lots are wide-spread, easily accessible, free, and more importantly, available. Parking for the event will take place in Lot G.
