Our Dual Enrollment Program provides area high school students with the opportunity to enroll in Hilbert College courses offered right at their high school for a significantly lower cost.

Participating in this program allows students the exceptional opportunity to get a low cost jump start on their college degree with the convenience of taking these courses during their normal high school day, right on their high school campus, while also using the coursework to complete the requirements for a high school diploma. In addition, Hilbert College Dual Enrollment courses will provide students with an extra challenge and the chance to experience college coursework before their freshman year of college.

Students in these courses will earn credit towards their high school diploma in addition to Hilbert College course credit that can be used towards a Hilbert College degree or transferred to any college or university degree program (check with a particular institution regarding their transfer credit policy and requirements).  Hilbert College is a member of the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP).

Our 2023-2024 Dual Enrollment Fees are:

  • $90 per credit
  • $35 registration fee for each course

Frequently Asked Questions

Dual Enrollment courses are Hilbert College courses that are offered at a high school location during the regular school day and are taught by a high school teacher whose background is similar to an on-campus adjunct.  The “dual” part refers to the feature that the course runs concurrently with a high school class (is embedded in the high school class format), and counts as BOTH credit toward high school graduation, as well as college credit.

View our full list of available Hilbert Dual Enrollment courses. Not every course on this list will be offered at a student’s high school since this is dependent on the high school’s ability to run particular courses.  To find out which courses are offered at a specific high school, contact the school’s guidance counselor or email us at dualenrollment@hilbert.edu.

In order to be eligible to receive college credit for your high school Dual Enrollment course, you must officially register by filling out the Dual Enrollment application via the link on the Hilbert Dual Enrollment webpage during the open registration period and pay the $200 course tuition fee through the online payment system.  Your high school teacher will then receive an official roster of students who have successfully registered for the Dual Enrollment course college credits.

Earned Dual Enrollment course credits can be used towards a Hilbert College degree or transferred to any college or university degree program, subject to that institution’s transfer credit policy.  It is the responsibility of the student to check with the institution they plan on attending regarding their transfer credit policy and degree requirements to determine if their Dual Enrollment course credits can be applied to their chosen degree program, as each institution sets its own policy regarding the acceptance of transfer credit.

In order to receive the college credits for a Dual Enrollment course, a final grade of C or better must be earned in the course (some colleges may require a minimum grade of B).  If a student will be attending Hilbert College, any Dual Enrollment credits earned will be automatically applied to their degree program.  If a student will be attending another college or university, the student must request an official transcript from Hilbert College to be sent to the institution they will be attending.

To request a transcript for Dual Enrollment courses, please fill out the request form electronically.
