Hilbert College maintains a variety of formal articulation agreements that create clear, structured pathways for students at different stages of their education. These partnerships recognize prior learning, reduce duplication of coursework, and support timely progress toward degree completion. Our agreements include:

  • Articulations with BOCES that allow students to earn college credit for approved high school coursework, which may transfer into designated Hilbert programs.
  • Traditional transfer articulations that map completed two-year degrees into Hilbert bachelor’s programs, outlining how associate-level coursework applies toward specific majors.
  • Advanced pathway agreements that enable eligible Hilbert students to transition into partner graduate or professional programs, allowing them to complete both undergraduate and graduate degrees on an accelerated timeline.

Together, these articulations provide students with multiple points of entry into Hilbert and beyond, offering transparent course equivalencies, defined program pathways, and clear expectations for academic progress and eligibility.

The following articulation agreements provide structured pathways from Hilbert College undergraduate study into specific external graduate programs. Each agreement is tied to a defined destination program and outlines the academic requirements, eligibility criteria, and transition process students must complete in order to continue into that program.

Canisius University

This articulation agreement is a direct pathway for Hilbert students in English, Liberal Studies, or Biology to continue into the  MSEd program at Canisius University, leading to New York State certification in special education. Under the agreement, eligible students complete designated undergraduate education coursework while enrolled at Hilbert and then transition into graduate study at Canisius for the fifth year of the program.

This articulation is effective through February 16, 2029, with a joint review prior to expiration to consider renewal, amendment, or termination.

University at Buffalo

This articulation agreement is a direct pathway for qualified Hilbert students in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Human Services, Political Science, Liberal Studies, or English to enter the University at Buffalo School of Law Juris Doctor (JD) program through a 3+3 structure. The agreement is specifically designed to allow students to complete a bachelor’s degree and the JD in approximately six years of full-time study, with up to 30 law credits applied back toward the Hilbert bachelor’s degree.

This articulation is effective through June 30, 2029, with a joint review prior to expiration to consider renewal, amendment, or termination.
