Abby Dent

Dent joined the Residence Life Staff in 2020, starting as a Resident Assistant. As an undergraduate student at Hilbert College, Dent had experience in Residence Life as a Resident Assistant (2020-2023) and Senior Resident Assistant (2023). She was also deeply involved in the Student Government Association, serving as the V.P. of Finance (2022-2023), and was a four-year member of the Softball team, and a five-year member of the Cross-Country team. Dent also was a member of the honors program and worked as a Student Ambassador for the Office of Admissions giving campus tours and working other Admissions events.

In January of 2024, Dent stepped into the role of Residence Life Coordinator. In this role, Dent is primarily responsible for administrative operations for Residence Life. She assists with procedures like Resident Assistant hire, housing selection, building management, student conduct, and support to the Director. Dent also serves in the professional-on-call crisis management rotation.

Dent enjoys reading, running, and spending time with friends and family. Dent holds a Bachelor of Science in Crime Scene Investigation and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice Administration from Hilbert College.
