Herb Kauderer’s poetry chapbook, Distilled from Water, has garnered significant recognition, most recently with a nomination for the prestigious Elgin Award. This marks Herb Kauderer’s eleventh nomination for the Elgin Award, building upon previous success, including a third-place win in 2020 for Fragments from the Book of the After-Dead.

Further highlighting the impact of Distilled from Water, the collection has also received a second review as part of the Elgin nominees series, even in advance of its official listing on the Elgin Award website.

In addition to this Elgin nomination, three poems from Distilled from Water have been nominated for the Rhysling Award in the long category. These nominations bring Herb Kauderer’s total Rhysling Award nominations to an impressive 34th, 35th, and 36th since 1991, underscoring a long-standing and influential presence in the realm of speculative poetry.
