A Life That Shaped Hilbert. A Legacy That Endures.
For 32 years, Sister Edmunette Paczesny, FSSJ faithfully and courageously led Hilbert College through one of the most transformative eras in its history. Under her leadership, Hilbert became a four-year institution, expanded its academic offerings, strengthened campus life, and deepened its Catholic and Franciscan identity.
Yet beyond the milestones and buildings, Sister Edmunette will be remembered most for her relational leadership. She believed deeply in the dignity and potential of every student. She was present at campus events, in handwritten notes of encouragement, and in moments that required courage and steady faith.
We invite alumni, students, colleagues, and family, friends to gather in gratitude as we celebrate her life and enduring legacy.

Directions via NYS Thruway (I-90):
- Take exit 56 for Mile Strip Rd/RT-179 toward Blasdell
- Turn left at Milestrip Rd/RT-179 W
- Turn right onto Mckinley
- Turn right on Route 20
- Turn left at S Park Ave/US-62. Hilbert will be on your left.
At Hilbert, our parking lots are wide-spread, easily accessible, free, and more importantly, available. Parking for the event will take place in Lot G.
