New Student Move-In

Welcome to campus! We’re excited to welcome our new students to campus for move-in. There are no early arrivals. Please plan accordingly and arrive during the designated move-in time of 3 – 6 pm on Thursday, August 20, 2026. Please review the information carefully to help make your arrival as smooth as possible.

1. Check In: West Herr Atrium – Swan
   Upon entering campus, all new students should proceed to the West Herr Atrium in Swan for check-in. At check-in, students will work with Student Life and other campus offices to ensure all required paperwork and requirements have been completed. Once cleared for move-in, students will receive a building index card, which they will use to obtain their residence hall keys.
2. Unloading to the Residence Halls
   After completing check-in, students will proceed toward their assigned residence hall. Orientation Leaders and move-in volunteers will be available to direct students and assist with unloading and moving belongings into their rooms.
   1. For an efficient move-in process, drivers must remain in their vehicles while students:
      1. Sign their dining and housing agreement
      2. Collect their residence hall keys
      3. Complete the necessary check-in process
3. Vehicles will be directed to the appropriate residence hall for unloading. Our Move-In Crew volunteers are here to help! Volunteers will assist with unloading vehicles and getting belongings to the correct residence hall room, allowing students and families to focus on getting settled into their new home. For the safety of our students, guests, faculty, staff, and volunteers, please pay close attention to all campus traffic directions. Campus will have one-way traffic patterns during move-in. Please follow the directions of campus personnel, Orientation Leaders, volunteers, and posted signage.
