New Student Orientation is mandatory for all new students.
Start your Hilbert experience with an all-inclusive Orientation designed to help first-year students and their families transition confidently into the Hilbert community. Through interactive programs, campus connections, and engaging sessions with faculty, staff, and student leaders, students and families discover the services, resources, and opportunities available from day one.
Students explore academic life, student support services, campus involvement opportunities, and the people who will support their success throughout their college journey. Along the way, they build meaningful connections with faculty, staff, and peers while gaining the knowledge and confidence needed for a successful start at Hilbert College.

What Orientation Is All About
New Student Orientation is designed to help students and families:
- Transition smoothly into college life and the Hilbert community
- Learn about Hilbert’s mission, values, traditions, and Franciscan heritage
- Connect with campus resources that support academic, personal, and social success
- Build confidence, engagement, and a strong sense of belonging on campus
Through participation in Orientation, students will:
- Understand academic expectations, personal responsibility, and community standards
- Feel prepared, connected, and confident as they begin their college experience
- Build relationships with faculty, staff, and fellow students
- Gain the tools and knowledge needed to navigate campus life successfully
Families participating in Orientation will:
- Become more familiar with the college experience and transition process
- Learn ways to support their student’s academic, personal, and social success
- Connect with campus staff and support services
- Feel informed, connected, and engaged as members of the Hilbert College community
