Step 1: Submit Your Enrollment Deposit

All students who plan to attend Hilbert must accept their admissions offer by submitting an enrollment deposit as soon as possible. Students who deposit early on will receive priority registration and preferred housing (resident students only)! Refer to your acceptance letter for information regarding deposit deadlines. An Admissions Counselor will contact you to explain any additional actions necessary. Make your secure online payment (all major credit cards accepted) to formally accept your offer of admission to Hilbert College and receive your welcome gift!

Step 1 by Housing Status

Students that will be living on campus are required to submit a $225 enrollment deposit through a secure connection, which is non-refundable. This deposit includes a $125 housing fee, which is required to secure a room on campus. Upon completion, students should immediately begin completing all necessary housing paperwork, which can be found in Step 3. Submit your resident deposit. 

Students that will be commuting to campus are required to submit a $100 enrollment deposit through a secure connection. Submit your commuter deposit.

Step 2: Complete Your FASFA

While incoming students are automatically considered for merit scholarships based on academic credentials, all students must complete the FAFSA to qualify for need-based financial aid and receive the best financial aid offer possible. For any questions or to make an appointment with our Student Finance Office, please contact them directly at (716) 926-8939.

FAFSA Completion

The new FAFSA application is typically available by December 1st each year. It is important to file this as soon as possible. You and your parent/guardian(s) must obtain a free FSA ID and password at: https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.

File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for complete consideration of all grants and loans. New York State residents should complete The New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) at www.hesc.ny.gov.

Step 3: Living on Campus Housing

Once you have submitted your $225 enrollment deposit, you should complete the housing application and roommate preference form as soon as possible to in order to be eligible for housing at Hilbert College. Step 3 by Housing Status

Housing assignments will begin after May 1st and will continue until capacity is reached. Submit your housing application.

Please note: You will need a digital copy of your Health Insurance card as all residents are required to have insurance. A photo of the card is an acceptable format of insurance.

If you submitted a $100 enrollment deposit as a commuter and want to live on campus, you will need to submit the additional $125 housing deposit as well. To do so, please call the office of admissions at 716-926-8780 or email at admissions@hilbert.edu to update your housing status and arrange a payment for your housing deposit using a credit or debit card.

Step 4: Register for Classes

Students that submit their enrollment deposit early will receive priority registration. New students that have accepted their admissions offer by depositing will be contacted to schedule their registration appointment, based on the date of their deposit.

Fall Entry Term:  Deposited students will be contacted as early as March 31st to schedule their new student advisement appointment.

Spring Entry Term: Deposited students will be contacted as early as November 15th to schedule their new student advisement appointment.

Step 5: Submit Final Transcripts & Documents

Have your official high school and/or college transcripts sent to the Office of Admissions, prior to the start of classes. Failure to do so may result in a hold being placed on your account. Also don’t forget about college courses taken while in high school. For students submitting Advanced Placement (AP) scores, please have official scores sent from the College Board. Students can check the status of items received in their application status portal as often as they would like.

Request Transcripts by Status

For graduating seniors, please be sure to see your School Counselor before your final day of classes to arrange for your final transcripts to be sent. Requests can still be made after the school year ends.

Transfer students can request a final transcript to be sent by contacting the Office of the Registrar at their current institution.

Orientation is mandatory for all new freshmen entering Hilbert College.

Step 7: Instructions

Please read through the following links carefully and be sure to submit ALL required documentation as early as possible. All forms are due by August 1st for Fall and January 1st for the Spring semesters.

Health insurance is MANDATORY for on-campus students and students are required to show proof of personal health insurance prior to moving into the residence halls. While Hilbert does not offer health insurance plans, students can view available plans through the Individual Marketplace as a result of the Affordable Care Act. For more information on the Marketplace options available to you, please navigate to https://nystateofhealth.ny.gov/ and click on “Get Started.”

Students will not be allowed to move into their residence hall until they have submitted all required health forms.

All forms are due by August 1st for Fall and January 1st for the spring semesters. Submit your emergency contact form.

Medical

All student-athletes are required to provide an updated physical, detailed medical history, immunization records, and Sickle Cell trait test results for athletic participation. Please note your updated physical cannot be more than six months before your first date of athletic participation, and all forms must be submitted prior to the first practice.

You must submit medical forms to the Office of Student Life via the  Health & Wellness page.

Athletic department forms will be submitted through FrontRush and Sportsware. Instructions for setting up your accounts for athletics will be emailed to your Hilbert email address during the summer.

If you have been in contact with one of our coaches you should have received an email with instructions for completing the necessary paperwork.  If you have not received an email, please contact the coach and they would be happy to help!
