Franciscan Day of Caring
Hilbert College serves our community partners, committed to strengthening our community through their mission and work. Participating in Franciscan Day of Caring is an important opportunity for our Hilbert community to experience the impact and importance of service with others, as well as take action to promote equality, justice, respect and compassion.
All students, faculty, and staff are invited to participate in our campus-wide Franciscan Day of Caring.

Day of Caring Information
What to Wear
Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately for the work that they will be performing. Pants, jeans or knee-length shorts and closed-toe, sturdy shoes (such as sneakers) are required. Hilbert College t-shirts will be provided.
Schedule During Day of Caring
Hilbert volunteers will meet at 8:50am and enjoy a light breakfast in their group’s assigned classroom in Bogel Hall. (Note: Volunteers traveling to FeedMore will meet at 8am.) In the classroom, they will get to know their site leader and the other volunteers they will be serving with. Volunteers will then travel together to their community partners using Hilbert-provided transportation. The volunteers will serve at their community partner site for two to two and a half hours before returning to campus for lunch and reflection. Please make note of the meeting time and location (as some groups may be meeting earlier than 8:50am) when signing up for your service opportunity.
Become a Community Partner
