- Locate the agency’s internship information online and check your eligibility to participate
- If eligible, complete the agency’s application process, using the guidance of the internship coordinator on how to submit a professional application
- If the agency does not post an internship application, contact the agency directly or speak to your internship coordinator for guidance on next steps
- Due to COVID, some agencies have either eliminated internships until further notice or reduced the number of interns accepted and/or the nature of the work performed in the internship

Digital Media & Communication
A Digital Media and Communication (DMAC) internship represents an excellent opportunity for acquiring practical experience in a professional setting. This program enables participants to transfer theoretical knowledge gained in academic courses into practical applications within the workplace.
Internships are available throughout the fall, spring, and summer semesters, with participants earning academic credits for their involvement. The program offers interns the chance to make meaningful contributions to an organization while showcasing their capabilities as potential full-time employees post-graduation.

Offered during both fall and spring semesters, these internships not only allow you to earn academic credits but also give you a chance to demonstrate your capabilities as a prospective employee.
Please be aware that having prior misdemeanor or felony convictions may limit your eligibility to participate in this program.
All Forensic Science: CSI Applicants Need:
- 90 hours at the end of term prior to internship
- Cumulative GPA 3.0
- GPA of 3.0 in forensic science classes
- Completion of six forensic science classes
- Faculty Recommendation
- Confirmed internship site
- All 4+1 students are required to complete an internship and are given priority in placement into the internship course
- Complete internship course application
- Fall applications are due late January of the previous semester
- Spring applications are due early October of the previous semester
- Meet with Internship Coordinator to determine site eligibility
Factors for internships and employment are agency-dependent considerations. Students have some control over and should be aware of these factors to be employable in the CJ/FS fields. Some factors to consider may include:

- Completion of drug testing, polygraph examinations, psychological screening, physical and medical examinations
