Application Process

  1. Submit a free application online
  2. Submit official transcripts from:
  •  Optional Military (Joint Services Transcript – JST)

Application Requirements

  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher from the most recently attended college is required for regular admission.
    • Students may be considered for a conditional acceptance if their cumulative GPA from their most recently attended college/university is less than 2.0.
  • The student must be in Good Academic standing with their previously attended college or university.
  • Students who were academically dismissed from another college can be considered for transfer admission following the lapse of one semester.
  • A personal interview and/or personal statement is strongly recommended (and in some cases, required) to discuss educational plans more thoroughly.

Transfer Credit Evaluations

Upon receipt of all college transcripts, the Admissions Office will complete a transfer credit evaluation. Once the student has been accepted, a copy of this evaluation will be sent to the student, once it is approved by the Registrar. Hilbert College will only accept courses from accredited colleges and universities. To ensure the maximum transfer-ability of credits, our general education core is uniquely designed to support the “SUNY Transfer Path” system.
