FRESHMAN CHECKLIST

  • Demonstrate your interest-request information.
  • Visit campus.
  • Apply for Admission.
  • Beginning the New Year, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), listing Hilbert College as a recipient of the results.
  • If you have any questions after submitting the FAFSA, contact the Office of Student Finance for more information about different ways to cover college costs, like scholarships, grants, loans, and work-study jobs.

REQUIRED - Official Transcripts from all areas that may apply:
  • High School
  • General Education Diploma with scores
  • Advanced Placement (AP) test scores
  • College and Universities (if any college credit was obtained during high school)
  • College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

RECOMMENDED - Feel free to include all or any of the following:

  • Letters of Recommendation
  • Personal Essay
  • Résumé
  • List of Activities

ADMISSION DECISION - Admissions decision based upon:

  • Admission is based upon past academic performance, demonstrated ability, and personal characteristics.
  • Students must submit a high school transcript of their grades and scores. Scores from national exams, such as the ACT and SAT, are not a requirement for admission to Hilbert, but if submitted will be used as an aid for course placement and scholarship consideration.
  • If necessary, an interview and/or personal statement may be required to discuss educational plans more thoroughly.
