Sports Industry Management Experiences
Buffalo Bills & Sabres Field Trip
On May 7th, students, along with Professors Jason Becker and Dan Roland, embarked on a field trip to Highmark Stadium and Key Bank Arena to gain sports industry experience with the Buffalo Bills and Sabres.
Students were able to gain sports industry experience while touring both facilities and interacting with industry professionals related to gameday operations, tour design, fan engagement, and facility operations. Additionally, students were able to interact with industry professionals at both organizations, including former Hilbert College SIM graduate, Joe Braniecki.
Three-Day Field Trip in Cleveland, Ohio
In April 2024, students traveled to Cleveland for a three-day sports industry experience, including a Cavaliers game, Pro Football Hall of Fame tour, and Guardians game, observing the importance of game-day operations, venue management, sport marketing, sport promotions, and social media.
Super Bowl 2024 Volunteer Experience in Las Vegas, Nevada
Eight Sports Industry Management students gained invaluable experience at the Super Bowl, working with the Host Committee in various roles. The Las Vegas trip provided career-shaping opportunities and real-world exposure, enhancing their understanding of the sports industry. Their crucial roles ranged from game day operations and marketing to community relations and venue management.
