Residence Halls

Our three halls - Trinity, St. Joe's, and the Apartments serve students at every level of study, allowing for students to feel at home in our multi-level residence complexes. 

Besides housing, each student has access to SpectrumU for their viewing pleasure, free parking, laundry, Wi-Fi, and accessible mailrooms.

Trinity Hall

Trinity Hall, which opened in the fall of 2009, is the newest addition to Hilbert's residence complex.

Building Features: Three-story building with rooms opening off a main corridor.
Housing Student Classification: For incoming freshmen
Rooms: Suites, which feature three 2-person bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a small living room; Triples, in which two 3-person bedrooms share one bathroom; Double rooms in which two 2-person bedrooms share one bathroom. 
Room Dimensions: 13ft 9in X 18ft 3in
Amenities: Overhead lighting, bed, desk, dresser, air conditioning, open closets, game room, big screen tv's.

St. Joe's Hall

St. Joe's Hall
Building Features:  Two-story building that can accommodate up to 96 students.
Housing Student Classification: Hosts freshmen or transfers
Rooms: These rooms are double rooms which normally accommodate two students each. Every room connects to a bathroom with an additional room on the other side. All adjoining rooms are of the same identified gender.
Dimensions: Room size: 11ft 8in X 14ft 9in; Window size: 40in X 82in (blinds are included); Built-in closet size: 34in X 82in; Wardrobe: 18in X 71in, 3 shelves, 5 drawers
Amenities: Overhead lighting, bed, desk, dresser, wardrobe closets, 24-hour computer lab, game room, big screen tv's, wellness center, and kitchenette. St. Joseph Hall does not have air conditioning.

Campus Apartments

Campus Apartments exterior
Building Features: Two-story buildings with a capacity of seventeen students in each of the four buildings. 
Housing Student Classification: Hosts upperclassmen
Rooms: Each building contains four single-gender apartments that can house four or five students in single bedrooms. Each apartment also contains two bathrooms, a living room, kitchen, air conditioning, and ample storage. Each building also contains laundry facilities.
Dimensions: Room size: 9ft 6in X 11ft; Window size: 71"W X 59"H (blinds are included)
Amenities: Overhead lighting, bed, desk, dresser, air conditioning, closet with full length mirror, refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, sofa, love-seat, coffee table, dining table and chairs.

Residence Fire Safety

In accordance with Section 6438 of the NYS Education Law, Hilbert College is providing all resident students with a description of the fire safety measures in College-owned housing.
 
All Residence Halls are equipped with:
  • Smoke and heat detectors
  • 24/7 surveillance on fire alarms
  • equipped with fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and signage. 
  • Fire hydrants conveniently located near buildings
  • Sprinkler system is present in Trinity Hall and the apartments. 
    • There is no sprinkler system in St. Joseph Hall.  
Alarm systems are inspected and tested yearly and sprinkler systems are tested quarterly. The College conducts regular fire drills and is subjected to an annual New York State fire inspection. Students may access the campus fire safety report on student housing via the Hilbert College website under Campus Safety.
