Hilbert College will welcome award-winning storyteller and photographer John Noltner and his acclaimed multimedia project, A Peace of My Mind, to campus from October 20 to October 27, 2025.

A Peace of My Mind is a powerful exhibit that blends photography and personal stories to explore the meaning of peace, compassion, and community. Through his work, Noltner invites viewers to reflect on shared humanity and the many ways people find common ground amid differences.

The exhibit will be open to both the campus community and the public in the West Herr Atrium, offering a welcoming space for reflection and dialogue throughout the week. Visitors are encouraged to stop by at any time. Noltner will also be available to meet with community members on Wednesday, October 22 from:

  • 9:00 – 11:00 am
  • 1:00 – 2:00 pm
  • 3:30 –5 :00 pm

As part of his visit, Noltner will deliver a keynote address on Monday, October 27, at 6:30 pm, where he will share insights from his travels, conversations, and the inspiring individuals featured in A Peace of My Mind. The keynote event is free and open to the public.

Noltner’s project has been featured in museums, universities, and community centers across the country, sparking important conversations about dignity, respect, and reconciliation. His visit to Hilbert College reflects the institution’s Franciscan values of peace, service, and respect for all persons.
