  • Hilbert College will begin the 2023 school year with an enrollment of more than 970 students across traditional and online undergraduate and graduate programs. Enrollment at the College is the highest it has been in a decade. For the second year in a row, the College experienced its largest new student class (340), contributing to more than 30% overall growth in the last twenty-four months. And, for the fourth year in a row, the College’s fundraising program reached record highs, delivering $2.25M to Hilbert’s bottom line.

  • Hilbert College Campus Safety will participate with local first responders for an emergency preparedness drill on the Hilbert campus on Saturday, July 8, from 1-4pm. The drill will focus on active shooter and mass casualty prevention and preparedness training and will involve the Town of Hamburg Police Department patrol and SWAT officers, volunteer fire companies, EMS, and Hilbert Campus Safety.

  • The Board of Trustees of Hilbert College, a Catholic Franciscan college based in Hamburg, New York, today announced the acquisition of Valley College, a career-focused college with campuses in West Virginia and Ohio, by its affiliate, Franciscan Services. Together, the colleges will serve more than 2,000 students across New York, West Virginia, and Ohio in traditional and online programs. All required regulatory approvals have been secured and the consortium will begin operations on June 1.

    Hilbert College held its 62nd annual commencement ceremony on Friday, May 19 at the Hafner Recreation Center on the Hilbert campus. The graduates welcomed commencement speaker The Most Reverend Michael W. Fisher, Bishop of the Diocese of Buffalo—the Bishop’s first commencement speech since arriving in Buffalo in January 2021.

Tower Foundation has awarded Hilbert College a $100,000 capacity building grant, to support the first year of a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASAC) partnership project between Hilbert College and BestSelf Behavioral Health. The funding will be used to support educational, technological, and programming needs during this unique initiative's first year within the Hilbert College Global online division.

  • HAMBURG, N.Y. -- Hilbert College’s cutting-edge Digital Campus Initiative will provide every on-campus undergraduate full time student with a laptop and digital textbooks.  In addition, this program will improve and expand wireless access across Hilbert’s Hamburg campus and implement a universal card access system for students. This groundbreaking initiative is designed to enhance learning and inspire innovative teaching, both inside and outside of the classroom, while creating digital equity for all Hilbert students.  The initiative will launch in fall 2022 for returning and new students.
