The Hilbert College Board of Trustees shares that President Michael Brophy has advised the Board that he will be stepping down from the Hilbert presidency at the end of his current contract term in June 2026. While Dr. Brophy is exploring other professional opportunities that may allow his family to move closer to their extended families, he remains committed to providing a smooth leadership transition for the College.

Published:I apologize for the delay in sending this to faculty and staff as this was sent to students last week. We are only in the second month of the new year, yet again we are grieving. Last week, a man armed with a handgun entered an academic building and fired shots into a classroom. Three Michigan State University students were shot and killed, and five students were wounded by a senseless act of violence.

Hilbert College was awarded a $420,000 grant from The Mother Cabrini Health Foundation. This is the fifth year Hilbert has received this grant and will be used to continue essential support of the Franciscan Advocacy & Resource Center at Hilbert. The services that this Center provides helps students overcome life issues and supports and strengthens their ability to transition and thrive in their educational setting and beyond.

Hilbert College and the University at Buffalo (UB) School of Law are pleased to announce a new 3+3 accelerated undergraduate/J.D. program, launching in Fall of 2025. The new program will afford qualifying students at Hilbert College the opportunity to earn both their undergraduate and J.D. degrees in six, rather than seven, years of full-time study, saving them both time and tuition costs.
