Job responsibilities:

Adjunct Faculty, Organization Theory and Management 

Teach and facilitate organizational theory and management at the graduate level for students of the Master of Public Administration Program. Deepen students understanding of the nature of public administration and its organizations using theoretical and practical lenses, specifically in the nonprofit, criminal justice, and government sectors. Assess academic, scholarly, practical knowledge and implications of organizational theory and management.

AIDS Program Manager I, Office of Sexual Health & Epidemiology   

This position is assigned as the Director of Sexual Health Education, Research, Policy and Programming (SHERPP) Unit and provides leadership in sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and sexual health epidemiology, evaluation, education, research, policy, and programming. Responsibilities include supervision, direct management, grant management, project management, grant writing; and program planning, design and implementation of SHERPP efforts that include resource allocation, program evaluation, quality assurance and improvement, and collaboration.

Bio: Dr. C. Stone, EdD MPA graduated from St. John Fisher College with a Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership degree. His dissertation is a quantitative examination of the input, process, output model of team effectiveness, leadership styles, and relational coordination theory as contributors to a profile of team effectiveness. He is currently a member of Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education. Additionally, Dr. Stone attended Hilbert College and earned a Master of Public Administration degree. He also received an ambassador gift from the college for his commitment and promotion of the Public Administration program. Lastly, Dr. Stone earned a Bachelor of Arts/Sciences degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology.

Dr. Stone has a combination of healthcare, criminal justice, and public administration leadership experience as he lead the fight in HIV and HCV, substance use and opioid overdose, sexually transmitted infections, racial inequity, and mass incarceration pandemics. He currently works for the New York State Department of Health with AIDS Institute under the Office of Sexual Health and Epidemiology. He is the Director of Sexual Health Education, Research, Policy and Programming (SHERPP) Unit providing leadership in sexually transmitted infections and sexual health epidemiology, evaluation, education, research, policy, and programming. Additionally, Dr. Stone was the former Director of Community Impact where he provided consultation to three healthcare nonprofit organizations. His role was to ensure synergy through the collaboration of internal and external programs and services. Dr. Stone was also an Executive Director of a nonprofit healthcare organization.

Dr. Stone is devoted to increasing the collective impact, organizational effectiveness, and performance toward serving marginalized communities, by ensuring equity, inclusion, accessibility, and voice for those in this population. In fact, Dr. Stone has been highly recognized as he has received many appointments on advisory boards, committees, and taskforces; his employer received proclamations and recognitions from the City of Buffalo Common Council under his leadership, and he has received the Graduate Of the Last Decade (GOLD) award as honor of his career success and volunteer service to his community and Hilbert College.

Dr. Stone is a diversity and public health visionary and strategist who is considered a champion in leadership and management, organizational performance, and coaching and development. He is proud to be able to expand access to his knowledge, skills, and abilities through coaching and mentoring, teaching, and lecturing, consulting, and publication.
