According to a study from The New York Times
, Hilbert ranks 43rd out 578 selective private colleges on overall mobility index. This measure reflects both access and outcomes, representing the likelihood that a student at Hilbert moved up two or more income quintiles.
Hilbert College has crafted a plan promoting a four-year college experience that will bolster student involvement and leadership potential –The Hilbert Blueprint.
The Hilbert Blueprint promotes a well-rounded student experience over four years. The ‘blueprint’ begins with the Foundations Seminar – a key piece to the First-Year Experience, followed by Sophomore Service, Junior Symposium, and concludes with the Senior Capstone.
The Blueprint, particularly the First-Year Experience, has led to a dramatic rise in Hilbert's retention rate, which is 72%.
Our NCAA Division III athletics program boasts an 88% retention rate.
10 of our 13 teams had a cumulative team GPA over 3.0 for the Fall 2016 semester. And 12 student-athletes earned 4.0 for the Fall 2016 semester.
IT'S IN THE VALUES
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, "Intelligence plus character -- that is the goal of true education."
Hilbert College embraces the traditions of St. Francis: respect, service, hope, vision, joy, integrity, compassion, and peace.
