Bio:
Professor Yvonne Widenor studied art history and German as an undergraduate student and continued her studies as a graduate student in Art History at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She concentrated her academic pursuits on ancient Minoan art and archaeology and spent four summers participating in a survey project on the island of Crete. Her additional interests in Baroque art and Native North American art and culture were well-supported while she completed her Master's degree. After graduating, she was hired to teach art history at Canisius College and SUNY Buffalo and has also held positions as a visual resources curator at SUNY Buffalo, Cornell University, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, and Canisius College. She is a proud Buffalonian and continues to explore local museums and cultural spaces, hiking areas, and has a fresh passport ready for stamps.
