I won runner-up in the Bridport Poetry Prize in England for my poem, "Ephemeral," and an honorable mention for my poem, "Bliss," from the New Millennium poetry contest.

For the past 25 years, I have given numerous presentations on education, writing, and film, at local, regional, and national conferences and have published scholarly essays and poems in a wide variety of book anthologies, poetry journals, and magazines.
My last book, "A Handbook for Simple Living," which I co-authored with Ms. Sepideh Yeoh, M.S., and C.C., was published by Linus Publications in 2012.
My previous book, "Modern and Postmodern Cutting Edge Films," was published by the Cambridge Scholars Press in 2008.
I am currently working on my first poetry chapbook.
